Performance Lab is a high quality gym currently under construction in Glasgow, which will specialise in strength and conditioning with a former Olympic trainer and nutritionist.
The client wanted the Vitruvian Man pictured in his logo, while showing the muscles anatomy of both a man and a woman on each side, as targeted muscles workout is the main focus of the gym. As logo design is highly geometric, the asymmetry of the demand was by far the most challenging.
The tagline Stronger Faster Leaner Longer needed to be included within the logo, as it will be showcased thoughout the gym spaces.
Our first proposal focused on keeping the muscle anatomy clean and symmetric, while using an Olympian medals colour scheme and shapes.
Upon the client’s request, the tagline was changed to “Quantifying your Fitness”, while “Stronger, Faster, Leaner, Longer” will be used to highlight the gym’s different spaces. The anatomy was further detailed, and a circle recalling the Olympic medals’ shape was added around the logo for better balance and unity.
